About us
Made by family, straight from the farm
Three Hawaiian words that tell who we are: the work of the cane, done as a family.
Every bottle is a chain of hands
One bottle. Four pairs of hands. One family.
Kōhana was born 5 years ago with a simple idea: take sugarcane juice, the drink of Colombia's cane mills and street corners, and put it in a bottle anyone could share, anywhere.
It starts in the field
Every bottle begins in a Colombian cane field, in the hands of farming families who are survivors of the armed conflict. We buy directly from them, with no middlemen, so the value of every bottle reaches the people who grow it.
It comes alive in our team
From the field it reaches the people who turn it into the drink you know. Our team looks after every bottle as if it carried their own family name, because in this house the family name belongs to everyone.
It's shared at the bar and the table
Bars, restaurants and shops put it in the hand of whoever asks for it. Every partner who believes in Kōhana opens one more door for the work of the field to travel far.
It ends with you
With every sip you back a harvest, a family, a trade.
That is what ohana means: everyone who holds up the same thing. From your first sip, you are part of it.
